Microsoft Access is a database management system. A database is a collection of data and facts that are related to a particular object. Such as, tracking and maintaining customer orders.

In Access the heart of the database is the Table. One or more tables make up a database. A database can also contain other objects such as queries, reports, and forms. These objects allow the user to view and manipulate the data in a large variety of ways.

Our tutorials walk you through the steps of creating a recipe database in Access XP, from scratch. You can download the completed database here.
